Abstract
Maine Beer Co. installed solar panels that the company hopes will produce 100% of its electrical needs in the future. They are one of a number of Maine businesses that are looking at renewable energy sources and green products that will help them run their businesses. While Maine does not have any incentives to install solar power, federal tax credits are in effect until 2017. Maine Beer co-founder David Kleban believes that by doing so, is not only the right thing to do for the environment, but can help build brand loyalty with like-minded customers. The investment Maine Beer is making is expected to be paid off in 8-10 years. [images]
