Abstract

Nineteen percent of the U.S. population has a disability, yet it is a group that is often overlooked as a source of talent and value, largely because companies are often worried of the adaptions they might have to make in order to accommodate those employees might be too costly. Susan Greenwood, executive director the the Cromwell Center for Disabilities Awareness explains that often the accommodations are very simple and inexpensive. She also gives some online resources to further educate employers and human resource personnel.
