The top Maine-based transportation projects, ranked in descending order by estimated cost as of October 2015, is presented. Also included is the name of the contractor, the start date and estimated end date. Listed in descending order are the Sarah Mildred Long Bridge replacement (Kittery-Portsmouth), the Maine Kennebec Bridge replacement (Richmond-Dresden), the Penobscot Bridge replacement (Howland-Enfield), the Gut Bridge replacement (South Bristol), Preliminary engineering for future highway reconstruction (Ogunquit at the York town line), Union Street bridge replacement (Bangor), Martin Memorial Bridge replacement (Rumford), Highway rehabilitation (Windham), Highway improvements (Jay), and Bridge Street bridge replacement (Westbrook).
