Abstract
A list of thirteen of Maine's latest and largest green buildings, ranked by LEED certification and gross square footage, is presented. Ranked in descending order are Greenward Hamlet co-housing community (Buxton), Margaret Chase Smith Federal Building and Courthouse (Bangor), 184 Pearl Street (Portland), Bigelow Lab for Ocean Sciences phase I (East Boothbay), Elm Terrace (Portland), Brookside Village Housing for the Elderly (Farmington), Alfond Center for Health (Augusta), Idexx office building (Westbrook), Miller Library (Colby College, Waterville), Hampton Inn (Lewiston), Davis Science Center (Colby College, Waterville), Building 55 (Kittery), and Stevens Home Dormitory (Bowdoin College, Brunswick).
