Abstract
Sandra Rieger of Mount Desert Biological Laboratory has discovered two drugs that are showing promise to reverse nerve damage caused by chemotherapy. She has been using zebrafish for the studies, but the drug needs to be tested on mammals before they can be licensed to a pharmaceutical company to be used in clinical trials. It is hoped the drugs will reverse nerve damage. Current treatments focus on relieving pain. [image]
