Abstract
In 2000, developer John Wasileski proposed building a 18-hole golf course within the Highland Green housing development in Topsham. Meet with resistance from local residents who had submitted an alternative plan for the land, Wasileski struck a compromise. The Cathance River Nature Preserve is one result of that compromise.
