Abstract
Mount Desert Island Biological Laboratory in Bar Harbor hosted a two week seminar on aging for postdoctural students and faculty in July 2016. Some of the organisms scientists are using as model for their studies and what the studies entail are presented. The seminar is a key part of IDeA (Institutional Development Awards) Network of Biomedical Research Excellence, or INBRE courses. INBRE is a federal training program that in Maine involves three research institutions and ten colleges and universities. Also included is a text box outlining the grants MDIBL reseachers have been awarded.
