Abstract
The Federal Aviation Administration awarded $26.43 million as of October 31, 2016 to aid airport infrastructure projects in Maine. The state's 35 public-use airports account for a $2.94 billion economic impact to the State. A list of airports, amount of funding received and the project being funded is included, as well as a text box containing information on how the regional airports serve the public. The article also explains the importance of training new pilots and features the focus of Maine Instrumental Flight School, which provides training. [images]
