Abstract
National banks are scaling back their presence in Greater Portland, which has given Maine-based banks the opportunity to expand in this market. Graphs depicting the change of banks' market share and deposits within Cumberland county in 2006 vs. 2016 as well as number of bank branches between these times are presented. Included is commentary on how the Maine-based banks are competing for customers. [images, graphs]
