Abstract
Lewiston is experiencing a third wave a immigrants since 2002. The first wave of immigrants were primarily from Somalia and the second wave in 2008-09 from Somali Bantu. In 2015 a larger percentage of immigrants hailed from western and central African countries. The new immigrants have brought new skills to Lewiston and have started new businesses, all of which is featured in the article. A text box explains who the new Mainers are and the differences between immigrants, refugees, primary and secondary refugees and ayslum-seekers. [image, graph]
