Abstract

The debate over the need and scale of the proposed cold storage facility in Portland is presented. Proponents argue it will not only serve the city of Portland, but the state of Maine as well. Eimskip USA will be the main tenant. Opponents argue the added traffic and scale of the building, might be more than the neighborhood can accommodate. There will be a discussions through May 2017 and a public workshop before the Portland Planning Board on May 18. [images]
