    Abstract

    An Outdoor Industry report estimates Maine's outdoor recreation industry to be worth $8.2 Billion annually, and generates 76,000 jobs, $2.2 billion in wages and salaries, and $548 million in state and local tax revenue. Recreational water sports also bring in revenue. The list of activities included in the report are wildlife viewing, motorcycling, boating, hunting, fishing, bicycling and camping.
