    Abstract

    The National Science Foundation awarded $1.1 million to UMO to support four research projects. The University of Maine at Presque Isle received $639,257 in grant funding through the U.S. Department of Education's Upward Bound Program. It will help low-income, first-generation students to pursue higher education.
