    Abstract

    $304, 291 in U.S. Department of Education funds were awarded to the Aroostook County Action Program to fund Women in Apprenticeship and Nontraditional Occupations.

    Millinocket Memorial Library received a $500,000 capital improvement grant from Next Generation Foundation to modernize the library and make it a library of the future. The Maine Veteran's Home in Bangor will receive funding of $2.7 million from the Department of Veterans Affairs for a renovation and expansion project. Jamie Clark of the Willie Wags of Bangor was a 2017 finalist in the U.S. Small Business Association's InnovateHER Business Challenge.
