Abstract

The nonprofit Maine Huts & Trails, which operates four ecolodges and access to 50 miles of trails, is facing a $500,000 budget shortfall. It employs 50 people and has an estimated impact of $52 million in Somerset and Franklin counties, but has not generated enough income to cover its costs. The group hopes to keep working on a new operating model.
