Abstract
Overview of three transportation projects in the state. The Maine DOT and Pan Am Railroad are planning an upgrade of 75 miles of the freight rail track between Waterville and North Yarmouth which will allow Maine to compete in the national economy. Efficiency Maine Trust has issued a request for proposals seeking bidders who will install public Level 2 EV chargers. Additional charging stations will help attract tourists who drive electric cars. And finally, a $105 million transportation bond goes before voters in November. Much of the proposed bond focuses on rehabilitating state highways and bridges.
