Abstract

Since March, many small businesses -- manufacturers, distilleries, breweries -- have shifted from normal production to production of healthcare products like hand sanitizer and face masks. Among the companies featured are Allen Manufacturing Inc of Lewiston, Biddeford's Thermoformed Plastics of New England, and Portland's Maine Craft Distilling and Hardshore Distilling Co. With a sidebar about the UMaine Innovation team which works with hospitals and manufacturers.
