The pandemic has affected the energy industry in various ways. Industrial and commercial demand for fuel oil and electricity declined with the shutdown, but residential demand stayed steady. And with people staying home, interest in renewable energy rose. Companies like Summit Utilities Inc. turned their attention to infrastructure projects and to making the company more nimble, by supporting remote work, for example.
