Abstract
A look at how the pandemic has affected the lobster industry. From the closure of restaurants to the cessation of shipping to China, fishermen were initially worried. But the Maine Lobster Marketing and Collaborative and individual dealers worked to create new retail markets, focusing especially on home chefs. So although there are still worries about the long-term effects of the pandemic, for the moment, lobster fishermen have fared better than expected.
