Abstract

An article about Top Gun, a training program run by the Maine Center for Entrepreneurs in Portland. Describes the program and how it uses a combination of courses and mentorship to educate people who are planning to open or already have small businesses. Emphasizes the program's focus on building a community of entrepreneurs who can educate and support each other. Uses profiles of program graduates such as Amanda O'Brien of eighteen twenty wines [sic] and Ashley Lenz of Healing Harbors, a purveyor of hemp-based body and pet care products, to describe the ways the program has aided them in tackling the specific challenges that arise for their businesses, including the challenges of the coronavirus pandemic.
