Abstract
The Maine State Prison was torn down in 2002. In 2005, Thomaston purchased the 15.6 acre site. In 2020, plans for redevelopment are still undecided, with various proposals having been rejected over the years. The article includes a timeline of the various proposals and hearings related to the site.
