Abstract
South Portland planning director, Milan Nevajda, and Andrew Clark, regional transportation director at Greater Portland Council of Governments, are looking at how to accommodate development at Cushing's Point. Broadway offers the only access and it cannot be widened. Of concern is how to make the area more pedestrian and bike friendly. There will be a traffic study, conducted by the city, GPCOG, and the developer, PK Realty Management. The study will also look into the feasibility of marine transport -- ferry service -- between Portland and South Portland.
