Abstract
An in-depth look at a new program of the Maine Justice Foundation called the Racial Justice Fund which aims to combat organizational and systemic racism in Maine and support Black, Indigenous, and People of Color in the state. Executive Director Michelle Draeger, advisor to the fund (and Bates College professor) Marcelle Medford, and Michael-Corey Hinton,an attorney in the Tribal Nations Practice Group at Drummond Woodsum, discuss the need for the program and how grants will support grassroots organizations involved in antiracist work. They hope to issue a request for proposals by early 2021.
