Abstract

Interview with John Konsin, CEO and co-founder of Prapela, a Biddeford-based startup that is developing a bassinet pad to help newborn babies breath. Konsin explains how the pads help opioid-exposed babies with a vibration that normalizes their breathing and heart rate. He explains how he plans to expand the customer base, keep prices down, and the impact of the $2.5 million grant the company was just awarded by the National Institutes of Health.
