Abstract

"Me" is the leitmotif for the several Maine women business and nonprofit leaders in their 40s and 50s who are pressing "pause" on their careers to focus on themselves.
The five with spoke with are all leaving high-profile jobs they have found to be fulfilling yet all consuming: Joan Fortin, Debra Boggs, Jessica Estes, Kate Webber Punderson, and Liz Cotter Schlax.
