Abstract

Maine's biotech industry has seen a 31% increase in bioscience-related jobs in the last 5 years, with salaries averaging $108,000. Four biotech firms received more than $4 million in funding through the Maine Technology Institute: Jackson Laboratory, Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences, Mount Desert Island Biological Labs, and Kennebec River Biosciences.
