Abstract

"this just in" piece on Poets for Peace, a consolidated reading of poetry scheduled for Feb 13 at the SPACE Gallery in Portland. The event was organized in response to the a White House symposium "Poetry and the American Voice,"which was cancelled when Laura Bush learned that some of the poets there would be reading poems dealing with the impending war in Iraq.
