Abstract
"Cover Story" piece on Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) programs, in which consumers pay a set fee to a local farmer in exchange for a weekly share of the harvest. CSA promotes environmentally sound growing practices and recycles money back into the community. With a focus on comments by Richard Rudolph, owner of Rippling Water's Backyard Organics in Standish; Amy Sprague, owner of Wolf Pine Farm in Alfred; Jill Agnew, owner of Willow Pond Farm in Sabbatus; and Sally Merrill of Sunrise Acres in Cumberland.
