Abstract
"Q&A" piece with Lorrayne Carroll, 48, a professor of English at the University of Southern Maine, on her March 19 act of civil disobedience in front of the Portland offices of Sen. Olympia Snowe, R-Maine. Carroll and 21 others were arrested that day when they continued a peace protest from Monument Square to Snowe's office to voice concerns about the war. The demonstrators were not allowed in the office, and several staged a "sit-in" outside, leading to the arrests. With an interview in question-and-answer format.
