Abstract

Several bills in the U.S. Congress and the Maine State House address America's dependence on foreign oil. In Maine, biodiesel is emerging as a promising alternative energy, with multiple bills calling for tax incentives for the fuel. Rep. John Eder, G-Portland, and Sen. Richard Kneeland, R-Eastport, are sponsoring bills aimed at promoting the use of environmentally friendly biodiesel and opening discussions of renewable energy. Also featuring comments by Joel Glatz and John Wathen. Details.
