Abstract

"Politics and Other Mistakes" piece on state representative John Eder, Green-Portland, who is unlikely to be re-elected to a second term because of legislative redistricting, noting that without a victory by Eder, it will be difficult for the Greens to sustain momentum in the 2006 gubernatorial race. Roxanne Quimby, founder of Burt's Bees personal-care products, has expressed interest in the Green gubernatorial nomination, but will likely be an unpopular candidate in northern Maine.
