Abstract
On April 6, the Portland band 6gig signed a record deal with Los Angeles-based Ultimatum Music. Bandmembers, Steve Marquis, Walter Craven, Weave, and Dave Rankin, quit their day jobs as telemarketers and pizza delivery boys. They credit their representation by Ripchord Records for much of their meteoric rise.
