Abstract

Article on corporate-reform efforts in the state, noting that last year the Democratic State Convention passed a platform plank urging corporations be stripped of their rights as "persons." Portland's Green Representative John Eder and Rep. Ben Dudley, D-Portland, have both initiated corporate-reform bills. David Kubiak, an unsuccessful Green Party state senate candidate from Kennebunkport, recently organized a group to begin work on corporate reform.
