Abstract

"this just in" piece on Dennis Kucinich, who made five appearances in Maine last weekend, including a speech at a meeting of the Maine Progressive Caucus in Augusta. Kucinich, who last year lost a bid to be the Democratic presidential nominee, continues to challenge the Iraq War as well as President Bush's Social Security proposals. After activists at the event criticized Governor John Baldacci for his cozy relations with corporations, Kucinich defended the governor, pointing out Baldacci's efforts on health care insurance and environmental issues.
