Abstract

"This Just In" piece reporting that Frank Turek, owner of Ubu Studio in Portland, will close the gallery at the end of October. Turek plans to pursue his own collage-assembly artwork at a nearby studio workspace. Before closing, the gallery may provide a venue for "Can't Jail the Spirit: Art by Political Prisoner Tom Manning and Other," the controversial art show canceled by the University of Southern Maine earlier this month.
