Abstract

"Politics + Other Mistakes" piece detailing the winners of the Gaggie Awards, honoring, in tongue-in-cheek style, candidates for elective office who were the most unqualified or incompetent. Winners include: Eric DesMarais, independent candidate for state Senate from Bangor; Kevin Donoghue, Portland City Council candidate; and Chandler Woodcock, Republican candidate for governor. Media outlets winning for their inept coverage of the elections include Inc. magazine, the Lewiston Sun Journal, and Portland Press Herald columnist Bill Nemitz.
