Abstract

Brief article commenting on the lack of convergence between the Portland Press Herald/Maine Sunday Telegram and the paper's Web site. The news coverage of a vacant house that filled with natural gas and exploded in South Portland on October 1 is presented as an example. The print and online versions of the story make no mention of any video or previous coverage on the Web site. Subsequent in-paper and online follow-ups failed to mention or link to any previous coverage.
