Abstract

"Press Releases" piece on "Thomas Munjoy Cushing," the pseudonym of a Munjoy Hill blogger who has taken on the Portland Press Herald in his daily blog, PressingTheHerald (PressingTheHerald.blogspot.com). Cushing began the blog out of frustration with the quality of the local daily. After a few months of sending weekly email questions and comments to editor Jeannine Guttman, Cushing had never received a response, so he started the blog. The blog critiques based editing questions, and provides missing context and perspective.
