Abstract

"Cover Story" piece on L.D. 1261, a legislative bill sponsored by Rep. Jay MacDougall, R-South Berwick, that would shift sex education in Maine from an abstinence-based program to an abstinence-only program, and would require sex educators to teach that homosexuality is not an "acceptable" lifestyle. The Legislature's Education and Cultural Affairs Committee will begin hearings on the bill this week.
