Abstract

Cover story about the HIV/AIDS Medicaid Waiver program, which the state of Maine was supposed to launch in the spring of 2000. The waiver would allow people to earn as much as 300 percent of the poverty level but still be eligible to receive Medicaid funding for protease inhibitors. The last definitive start date was June 2001, but no forms are yet available because the program has still not been implemented. With special focus on Connie Dorie who was diagnosed with HIV in August 1995.
