Abstract

"Cover Story" piece on the five candidates seeking to fill the seat vacated by state senator Joel Abromson, who died Jan. 14, including Democrat Michael Brennan, independents Mark Cenci and Philip "Jack" Dawson, and Green Party independent Kelly Fernald, and Republican Sally Vamvakias. This is the first special Senate race in Maine since 1985, when Democrat Peter Danton, representing what was then District 31, resigned.
