Abstract
The Portland City Council's Housing Committee has recommended that the city approve funding for a plan by Adam Development Company to build Wellesley Estates, a housing complex of 45 units on outer Forest Avenue, including 19 units designated as affordable housing. Adam Development is asking for a $256,000 loan to complete the $6,498,270 project. The company asked for a city grant, but officials decided a federal loan was more appropriate.
