Abstract

"politics and other mistakes" piece on Republican state senator Michael McAlevey, R-Waterboro,and the apparently conflicting positions he has taken on various issues during his three terms in the state House and one in the state Senate. Now, defeated in the June Republican primary by state representative Richard Nass of Acton, McAlevey has switched parties and will try to keep his seat as a Democrat.
