Abstract

"Cover Story" piece speculating on who front-running Democratic and Republican presidential candidates will pick as their vice-presidential running mates. U.S. senators Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins, both Republicans from Maine, are seen as potential running mates for Republican presidential candidates George W. Bush and John McCain. Snowe and Collins are perceived as vice-presidential picks who would appeal to moderates and perhaps even left wing voters, because they are both pro-choice.
