Abstract
Profile of Cynthia McFadden, an Auburn native and co-anchor of ABC's "Nightline" and "Primetime." McFadden, 50, is a graduate of Edward Little High School and Bowdoin College. After earning a joint degree in law and journalism at Columbia University, McFadden was hired directly out of school by CBS News. McFadden credits the late John Cole, founder of "Maine Times," for steering her toward her double major. She said she is still visits her mother in Cundy's Harbor whenever she can.
