Abstract
Elvin Copp, 64, and his son Randy Copp, 28, are building a castle on 28 acres of what is known as The Rock on Gray Road in Cumberland. The tall outcropping remained after sand and gravel were quarried from below for part of I-295. The men are using lots of found materials, some of which they've had for years, like an old iron drawbridge that will carry cars across the quarry's chasm. Elvin lived across the road all his life. The men are building a professional subdivision down in the meadow that will be called Castle Rock.
