Abstract
Article on "Vividly True to Nature: Harrison Bird Brown," an exhibit of 40 landscapes by Portland's most famous native painter. The show is being presented at the Portland Museum of Art, through September 9. Jessica Routhier, curator, said many Portlanders had a Brown painting over their mantle in the 1880s.
