Abstract

"Chowder" piece reporting that bloggers are visiting the Strange Maine blog, www.strangemaine.blogspot.com, to learn about a mysterious giant footprint that was revealed last summer when a granite cliff was dynamited during construction of the new Penobscot Narrows Bridge in Bucksport. Alvion and Cindy Kimball of Orland suggest that the footprint is a remnant from an old American Indian legend surrounding the spirit Glooscap.
