Abstract

Comments on the local real estate market by Rita Yarnold, the president-elect for 2008 and president for 2009 of the Maine Association of Realtors. Yarnold, who started in real estate in 1985, describes the ups and downs she has seen in the Portland market over the years. Despite lots of bad press, 2007 has been the fourth-best real-estate-performing year since 1997. With detailed annual statistics on the Portland real estate market since 1997.
