Abstract

"House of the Month" piece on "the world's last John Calvin Stevens fixer-upper," a bungalow on Belmeade Road off Baxter Boulevard in Portland. The English country Shingle Style home was built in 1923 for Frank G. Leavitt, the treasurer of Carter Bros. Jewelers. The well preserved home, with many original features, is going for $390,000.
